The top winners set up as vendors during the festivals and serve up some of the best BBQ in the South. You will also find many other kinds of foods available, including fajitas, sausages, gyros, quesadilla, sampler planners, grilled corn, and much more.
Dates: May 15-16, 2020
Free event -- free music, free concerts
Friday, May 19, 5pm to 10pm
Saturday, May 20, 9am to 10pm
A major feature of the festival is a bluegrass music competition and a Mountain Soul Vocal Competition where contestants sing music written and performed by Dolly Parton herself. The competition honors Dolly Parton's songwriting by encouraging contestants from across the nation to sing one of the more than 3,000 songs she has written.
For the kids, there is a Kids’ Zone where they can play old fashioned games, enjoy fun in bounce houses, and experience hands-on fun with musical instruments. All activities in the Kids' Zone are free of charge.
