Cades Cove Loop Road

A MAIN ATTRACTION IN THE GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS IS CADES COVE LOOP ROAD

One of the most popular Smoky Mountain destinations is Cades Cove. The Cove is a lush valley surrounded by mountains and beautiful valleys. This 11 mile loop is a peaceful driving tour and is also used for bicycling. You will see many historic buildings, including rustic log homes of original residents of the Cove. There are also historic several churches, a grist mill, molasses making equipment, and cemeteries. More than 21 hiking trails can be found in the Cove.

Directions: From Gatlinburg turn right at Sugarlands Visitor Center and follow Little River Road directly into Cades Cove. From Townsend, follow Lamar Alexander Parkway to the "Y" and turn right.
